Humble

20200606

Don Peszko Jr

I was watching a TV show or read it in an article that said the generation after the yuppie generation was after the baby boomer generation.
the generation after the yuppie generation was generation x witches become my generation.
The baby boomer is the generation during or after World War II.

Humble

Out watching TV show the rating in article that the stated that the generation that after the yuppie and generation that was after the baby boomer generation.

Was called the generation x witches become the me generation.

The baby boomer is the generation during or after World War II and this generation to philosophy was that they would help others and that they taught their children the older role and the role of service in person’s life.

Then we had the yuppie generation and they or more focused on work and how far they can get ahead in life and on business.

Then we come to the x generation which in the article and on TV said that that was the generation that is called the me generation which is the generation that I'm a part of so I stopped and took a look and started think about the way me and my friends act and do.

I could see what our attitude to be.

1. Ourselves.
2. How far we get ahead.
3. What does this do for me?
4. What do I get out of it?

Now I know there are some exceptions to the rule and I'm not saying all generation Xers are the same.

Now if you are a Generation X don't want you to blame your parents now.

This type of attitude is a selfish attitude and even that you may get far as looking out for yourself or care about others.

1. You may be miserable.
2. You may be too focused on your problems.
3. You may have alienated your friends and family and feel alone.
4. Or not sure what to do.
You may think you are the only person going into this problem.

I can play from personal experience there is only one way you can get out of this attitude of mind sent.

That is to change your mind set to Humble.

You may say where can I find examples of how to Humble myself and have a life of giving and service

While the Lord has laid it on my heart this week to share with you because there's no greater example of humility than that of Jesus Christ and his followers.

Like I said earlier I can tell you from personal experience I would like to share with two some of the humbling experience is that I have had them mine life.

1. At the humbly to be on the radio and be able to share God's word with you.

2. Share with a loved one when they're going to be with the Lord.

3. Counseling someone when now hurting and need direction.

You may say where can we start first to must change or attitude.

Matt 16:24-28
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

1. Jesus said whoever comes after me that him deny himself and follow me.

a. that mean sometimes we need to deny ourselves of all we want to do a what the Lord wants to do

b. that does not mean that we are not allowed to have goals but of that goal conflict with my belief and putting others first. Then that's what you need to pray about it.

2. Jesus said whoever plays his life shall lose it.

a. that means we try to hold onto the things of this life we will miss what got his prepared for us and have.

b. but of the give our life that Christ and we have life.

3. Jesus said that is a man gain the whole world will can he give in exchange for his soul.
a. now we really need to look at this what can you possibly give in exchange for your soul.Notheing.

John 6:38-40
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

1. We have to realize that Jesus came down not to do his own will
2. But the will of the Father with sent.
3. And that Jesus did this as an example for us to do.

Matt 7:21-22
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

1. Jesus is telling us hear that we must do the will of the Father.
a. Our reward for doing the Father's will is going to haven't.

2. Jesus is also telling us that we must do it for the right reason.
a. Not every one that comes up to Jesus and says I'm doing your will go to heaven.

Matt 19:30
30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

1. Jesus is saying hear that the first-person down here putting their ambitions and their wills in front of his shall be the last in heaven.

Matt 10:24-25
24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

You can look at this first in another way that
1. No one is above anybody else.
2. No one is better than anyone now.
3. We're all the same night of the Lord
Matt 20:26-28 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

1. Jesus said he did not come to be ministered unto you but to minister a. another way we can look at this is that Jesus did not come to be have people serve them but to serve them.

Luke 14:7-11
7 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,

8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;

9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.

10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Jesus is using this illustration to show.
1. That we don't always need to be first.
2. That we don't need to exalt ourselves.
3. How embarrassing would that be if you put yourself in the high place and really are not so high.
4. God will exalt you in his own way.

Matt 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

1. Here Jesus is telling us we far must first seek the kingdom of heaven
2. To put our ambitions aside to do his will.

You may say how can I change my attitude and my lifestyle.
1. I am always tired of fighting to the number one.
2. I am tired of worrying about how everybody thinks of me.

John 3:1-7
3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

1. Jesus is say we must be born again.
a. born of the Spirit.
b. born not of flesh
2 Cor 5:17 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1. Your new creature.
2. Old things are passed away.
3. Things become new.<

From my personal experience I can tell you it's a great joy to serve others and not have them serve you.
